Rox vs. Sox

Well that's kind of a surprise after a season in which the Rockies managed to just squeak into the Wild Card spot and the Mets collapsed after seeming like a pretty sure thing. I'm kind of a sports dilettante but I've always liked the Red Sox as underdogs against the evil Yankees, but too bad for them - they already won a damn World Series.

Any other topics of interest?

I'm rooting for the Rockies. I'm tired of the Red Sox and their martyr fans.

I'm rooting for the Red Sox. I'm a fan and have never been a martyr. Well, not that I know of and tired of the smug Rockies. OK, maybe not. But I do find it a little creepy that the Rockies are trying to be a Christian baseball team. Either way, it is going to be a fun series. (That being said, Sox in 6).

you know, you say one douchie thing and there's always someone it rubs the wrong way!

Before the Sox won, I had a couple of Sox fan friends who were always crying about the Yankees and whatnot. As a fan of the Seattle Mariners who've never even been to the World Series...well the complaining seemed a little misplaced.

Granted, not fair to apply the whining of a few fans to a whole city.

But if you can't engage in a little hyperbole and overgeneralization online...well where can you?
