The last debate

I don't believe in complacency, and a lot can happen in three weeks, but this race is basically over, and McCain's attitude - clearly angry and seething - is a big part of why his numbers have gone down. I mean, he does realize there are cameras on him even when he's not talking, right?

In other news, hopefully I'll have some more stuff posted here soon - I've recently seen Eagle Eye (5/10) Religulous (6/10), Body of Lies (4/10) and Quarantine (5/10) plus I still intend to post some thoughts on Pasolini's Salo, or The 120 Days of Sodom.

I agree: this latest debate probably sunk McCain for good. That hysterical way in which he speedily jumped up the moment the debate concluded and began behaving like a man belonging to an asylum... Yeesh. All of the swing states are swinging one way; this seems to be a done deal now.

I actually liked Eagle Eye for what it was. Nothing exceptional, and it was, unfortunately, too long, but the supporting cast helped to make it agreeably fun. I hated Body of Lies, which you rightly place beneath Eagle Eye. Ridley Scott's direction left me completely cold and the film was mainly just weak sauce.
