Two things:
1) This movie has one of the most retarded titles in movie history. Worse than The Incredibly Strange Creatures that Became Mixed-Up Zombies or Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever.
2) This movie is a huge snoozy waste of time. I didn't care about any of the characters. All of the action sequences were mundane and tedious and the movie as a whole lacks a reason to exist.
Basically, it makes Brett Ratner's X-Men 3 look good by comparison. I hope everyone involved gets herpes, they should be able to afford plenty of ointments.

How did you see this and not Star Trek?
A few basic, personal reasons. I find myself busier, these days, than I had been for months prior. Which is good - having a job is nice, these days.
Next, I just don't have it in me to do opening weekends anymore. I'm getting old - the thrill is gone of seeing something as soon as it opens. That, and my friends are all settled and married and few of them want to do the opening weekend thing either.
And lastly, I have this little thing called OCD, which compelled me to watch Star Treks V and VI before I could see the new one and feel comfortable.
I still intend to write reviews of movies II-VI in the next few days.
sounds like you loved it...
still haven't seen it...will likely wait for DVD...
Trek was sweet, very enjoyable.
You have OCD too eh Jeff? Tell me about it. LOL!!!
Wolverine is indeed a 'snoozy waste of time.' I am on the same page with you completely.
"I hope everyone involved gets herpes, they should be able to afford plenty of ointments."
Hahahahahaha!!!
I'm also wary of opening weekends, though sometimes I can't resist. I usually try to hit times that I know will be less populated, which is probably much harder in L.A. or N.Y.
I've gotten to a point where I resent tripping over people everywhere I go, and having the exact same social/labor schedule as 80 percent of the people in the country.
And because D. Park's in New York, guess who ended up going to Star Trek opening night?
I have to commend you for even mentioning Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. That alone made me laugh.
Jeff, to change the topic for a second, I just want to say that I look forward to to your take on DRAG ME TO HELL, which I will see myself over the weekend. I know this genre is one of your specialties, and I'm not sure which way you'll go with this one.
